Sparkler – Child Safety, Privacy & Terms

1. Child Endangerment & Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE/CSAM) Policy

Sparkler has a zero-tolerance policy for any content or behavior that endangers children or facilitates the exploitation or abuse of children. This includes all child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

We explicitly prohibit:

• Inappropriate interaction targeted at a child (for example, groping or caressing).
• Child grooming (for example, befriending a child online to facilitate, either online or offline, sexual contact and/or exchanging sexual imagery with that child).
• Sexualisation of a minor (for example, imagery that depicts, encourages or promotes the sexual abuse of children or the portrayal of children in a manner that could result in the sexual exploitation of children).
• Sextortion (for example, threatening or blackmailing a child by using real or alleged access to a child’s intimate images).
• Trafficking of a child (for example, advertising or solicitation of a child for commercial sexual exploitation).
• Creating, uploading, possessing, or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form (images, videos, AI-generated, text) – anywhere on Sparkler (posts, DMs, replies, profiles, media uploads).
• Any attempt to evade detection (coded language, external links, etc.).

Action taken: Immediate permanent account ban, content removal within 24 hours, and mandatory reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) at report.cybertip.org and relevant law enforcement.

2. In-App Reporting Mechanism

Every post, profile, and message has a “Report” button with a “Child Exploitation” category. All reports are reviewed within 48 hours (CSAM within 24 hours).

3. Compliance with Child Safety Laws

Sparkler complies with COPPA, GDPR-K, and all applicable child protection laws. We enforce a strict 13+ age requirement with birthdate verification at signup. The app is rated 17+ (Mature) on Google Play via IARC.

This representative is positioned to speak to Sparkler’s enforcement and review procedures, CSAM prevention practices, and compliance with Child Safety and Child Endangerment policies, and to take action if required. This contact is kept up to date in the Child Safety Standards declaration and is monitored 24/7.

5. Additional Prohibited Content (Community Guidelines)

• Violence, threats, terrorism promotion
• Hate speech, bullying, harassment, doxxing
• Impersonation, spam, scams
• Self-harm or suicide promotion
• Illegal activities, copyright infringement
• Non-consensual intimate imagery

6. Privacy Policy

Sparkler does not display advertisements of any kind and does not share your data with third-party advertising networks or sell personal data.

We only collect email, username, birthdate (for age verification), posts, messages, and device identifiers necessary to run the service and keep it safe. Children under 13 are blocked unless verifiable parental consent is provided (COPPA-compliant). You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time by contacting augustineawuori@gmail.com.

7. Terms of Service

By using Sparkler you agree to these policies. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations. Service is provided “as-is”.
